April 20 weekend lands across New York City with dispensary deals, free food, and competitions stretching from Queens to the Upper West Side.
Gotham runs 20% off orders of three or more cannabis products through April 20, plus 20% off paraphernalia and a free gift with any order. Spend $100 or more at their Brooklyn and Manhattan locations and you’ll walk out with a limited edition 4/20 ashtray and lighter. “It’s always 420 at Gotham,” the company said. Daily giveaways online through April 20 are raffling off event tickets, gift cards, and a $500 dispensary shopping spree, with every order bumping your odds.
The Travel Agency ran a full month of drops and brand collaborations leading into this weekend. That included an OnlyNY drop, a SoHo Launch Party on April 16 from 6 to 9 p.m., and NY-themed food drops on April 19 and April 20. They don’t operate out of one storefront. Multiple locations across boroughs.
The Daily Green, at 719 7th Ave. in Manhattan, is offering 15% off all flower through April 25. The dispensary had been running an MTA-inspired punch card earlier this month, giving customers weekly discounts, prizes, and a sweepstakes entry for a year of free cannabis from Marijuana Farms New York. The punch card window has closed, but the flower discount holds through the end of the month’s third week.
Stoops, at 182 5th Ave. in the Flatiron District, has over 500 discounted items available for pickup, delivery, or in-store through April 20. That’s the kind of selection that can eat an afternoon.
Free stuff, specifically.
On Sunday, Housing Works Cannabis Co. is hosting a popup with Magnolia Bakery at its flagship at 750 Broadway in Manhattan, running from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The first 50 customers get a free Magnolia Bakery banana pudding. If you’re not there when doors open at 9, don’t expect one to be waiting.
Out in Queens, House of Strains at 16105 29th Avenue is serving brick oven pizza today alongside brand popups, a prize wheel, a plinko board, and BOGO deals from 4 to 8 p.m. It’s the kind of event that’s genuinely hard to replicate in a Manhattan storefront footprint.
Superfly at 57 W 86th St. on the Upper West Side has been running a 4/20 Weekend Journey through April 20, with raffles including PAX vaporizers, Stündenglass gravity infusers, Puffco e-rigs, and Yankees tickets. A collaboration with Uno Pizzeria went live April 19. A Bend and Blaze Yoga session is scheduled for April 20.
For New Yorkers who want actual competition, Pinky Swear at 171A Chrystie St. in Manhattan is hosting a 4/20 Stoner Olympics tonight from 6 to 10 p.m. Teams of 3 go up against each other on speed, style, and size. Tickets are $10 for participants, and the competitor registration deadline was April 15, so that window’s gone. Spectators can still pay at the door. The 16 teams already signed up won’t be short on audience.
What the weekend adds up to is something the city didn’t have 4 years ago. Legal dispensaries were still a concept in 2026’s early years, and now they’re throwing pizza parties and yoga sessions and competing over who can give away the most. Whether you call that progress or marketing depends on your disposition toward real estate money and brand activations, which, in this city, are often the same thing.
AMNY’s full event guide has a broader Start-to-finish breakdown for anyone who wants to plan Sunday around dispensary hours rather than brunch reservations.
