NBC 4 New York will offer exclusive live coverage of the 265th New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Tuesday, March 17, from 11 AM to 3 PM ET, according to the station.

Tri-state viewers can watch the broadcast on WNBC, NBCNewYork.com, and the NBC 4 App, while national and international audiences will have access through streaming platforms via the station’s “NBC 4 New York” streaming channel.

“There is nothing like the New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade. It is the largest celebration of Irish heritage in the world. We are thrilled to offer exclusive viewing access to this historic event, live from Fifth Avenue and across our NBC 4 New York platforms,” said Eric Lerner, President and General Manager of NBC 4 New York and Telemundo 47.

The broadcast will feature WNBC Weekend Today in New York anchor Gus Rosendale and Weekend News 4 New York anchor Rana Novini as lead hosts. Rosendale will anchor from the broadcast booth alongside Ireland Calls Radio Show personality Treasa Goodwin-Smyth and sports announcer Tommy Smyth, who will provide historical context about the parade’s rich heritage.

Novini will report from along the Fifth Avenue parade route, including the traditional stop at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, where she will interview parade participants and spectators throughout the event.

Robert James “Bob” McCann has been selected as Grand Marshal for the 2026 parade, according to organizers. McCann serves as Co-Chairman of NewEdge Capital Group and owns Forest Creek Golf Club. His previous roles include President of Global Wealth Management at Merrill Lynch and Chairman of UBS Americas. He currently chairs the board of the Irish Arts Center in New York City and has spent nearly 30 years working to strengthen cultural and civic connections between Ireland and the United States.

“The NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade is delighted once again to work with our long-term partner NBC on our TV broadcast this year. They always go above and beyond to support our event,” said Sean Lane, Chairman of the New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

The New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade first marched in 1762, fourteen years before the Declaration of Independence was signed, making it one of the city’s oldest traditions. The event is considered the most popular parade in New York City and honors Saint Patrick, the patron saint of the Archdiocese of New York and Ireland.

Each year, the parade features approximately 250,000 marchers and draws two million spectators, according to organizers. The procession consists exclusively of marchers and includes numerous marching bands, bagpipers in formation, and high school and college bands from across the United States and around the world.

NBC 4 New York has served the tri-state area for more than 75 years and features award-winning journalists recognized with Alfred I. duPont-Columbia, Edward R. Murrow, and Emmy awards. The station operates the NBC 4 I-Team, described as New York’s largest televised investigative reporting unit, and Better Get Baquero, which has recovered more than $20 million for tri-state consumers.

The station’s weather team, Storm Team 4, uses cutting-edge technology including Storm Tracker 4, a high-frequency S-Band dual polarization fixed Doppler weather radar, and has received WeatheRate certification for delivering accurate local forecasts.
